South Greece Interclub Ski Mountaineering Races

Open Participation Race “THANASIS SOTIROPOULOS”

The Hellenic Mountaineering Club of Chania (EOS Chania) and the Hellenic Mountaineering Club of Patras (EOS Patras), within the framework of the official competition calendar of the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering & Climbing (HFMC – E.O.O.A.), are organizing a full Ski Mountaineering race day on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Kalavryta Ski Center, including:

• the South Greece Interclub Ski Mountaineering Races, and
• the Open Participation Ski Mountaineering & Splitboarding Race “THANASIS SOTIROPOULOS”.

The races will take place at the base of the “Dafni” drag lift, next to the chapel of Agios Hyakinthos, offering a complete competitive program for both club athletes and independent participants.

South Greece Interclub Ski Mountaineering Races

Eligible to participate in the interclub races are male and female athletes of clubs that are members of the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering & Climbing (E.O.O.A.), provided that the clubs:

• hold official sports recognition,
• are registered in the General Secretariat of Sports registry, and
• have no pending issues in the e-Kouros system.

Clubs that are in a documented process of obtaining official sports recognition in the discipline are also eligible to participate.

Competition categories include age groups from U12 to U23, as well as Men’s and Women’s categories (21+) and Veterans (35+).

The participation fee is €15 per athlete.
Payments for club athletes are made upon bib number collection at the race secretariat.

Open Participation Race “THANASIS SOTIROPOULOS”

At the same time, the Open Participation Ski Mountaineering & Splitboarding Race “THANASIS SOTIROPOULOS” will take place. The race is open to male and female athletes over 18 years of age who do not hold an official competition license in Ski Mountaineering or Splitboarding.

The participation fee for the open race is €20.
Payments are made upon bib number collection at the race secretariat.
